WHAT WE ARE ABOUT
BreathBodyMovement was born in March 2020 from the smouldering embers of Covid19. As the UK went into Lockdown, founder Alison Duker found herself without her thriving Pilates business & commercial role as the in-real-life sports & health sector dissolved before everyone's eyes.
As the world shifted online, what had been a spark of an idea floating in the background, became a reality. Alison found herself teaching clients across the UK and Europe via the power of Zoom, many of whom were eager to support themselves whilst they faced their own Lockdown realities as work and home life collided in the unique 2020 way.
The BreathBodyMovement concept is to create a space to allow you to feel great, inside and out. Our emotional, mental and physical health are interdependent, our inner shines on our outer self, and our outer radiates to our inner self. We invite our clients to connect the dots, to listen to their intuition, to know and understand what is right and wrong for them. We guide, support and encourage. to inside & the outside together.
In a global pandemic, the need for holistic health is ever greater, for all of us.
You could be working from home and have permanent desk pose that needs unravelling, or you may have found that your usual movement routine is in disarray as life has been thwarted, you may need nutritional advice to boot out lingering Lockdown dietary habits or maybe the unprecedented changes that 2020 have impacted you emotionally.
The way the BBM community has organically formed is wonderful, like a real-life yoga/pilates/holistic health studio, we always create a space to chat before & after class, for people to ask questions and connect. The aim for this space to allow every client to feel seen and heard. It is our wish for the business to develop it into a wider offering, to support the existing and future community with their space to thrive.

Alison is a polymath. She passionate about physical & emotional health, movement and also technology and strategy. Whilst loving the cut and thrust of commercial life, she loves the connection that she gets from working with people in building their health foundations from the ground up.
Alison is a certified Polestar Pilates instructor, Nutritionist (FdSc, Dip ION) and Life Coach (dip) as well as an ex-dancer and yoga lover. Always exploring the edges and following her intuition, she combines the all the experience of her movement life into her classes.
Having spent a large part of her career so far within the Music industry, Marketing & Technology working with brands such as EMI, TimeWarner, Coca-Cola, Waitrose, Danone, Johnson & Johnson and Samsung, you can also find Alison in consultative roles across a variety of corporate clients.
